Traverse the desert in an authentic Berber caravan

Camel Trek

A camel trek is one of the most unforgettable parts of any Moroccan adventure. Sitting gently on a camel’s back, you’ll sway slowly across golden dunes or winding desert paths—just like the nomads have done for centuries.

Most treks start in places like Merzouga or M’Hamid, at the edge of the Sahara. As your camel steps into the soft sand, everything becomes calm and quiet. The only sounds are the wind and the soft crunch of hooves on the dunes.

Along the way, you’ll see the sun rise or set over the vast desert, painting the sky with colors you’ll never forget. Some treks last a couple of hours; others take you deep into the desert for an overnight stay in a Berber camp under a sky full of stars.

It’s not about speed—it’s about the experience. A camel trek is a peaceful, almost timeless journey through the heart of Morocco’s desert soul.
